Raising the Soundstage
They were the only ones with a descent priced 3-way component set. I'm still working on fitting the new subs in, I have to replace the ring on the fiberglass box to adjust for the larger diameter ring.

Those look great. I agree they look much better than the stock ones. My complaint about my set up is you can see the mdf from one angle but it doesn't bother me too much. I've got some time this week so hopefully I'll get around to getting this all done and I'll snap some pics.
Nice! Peeps actually wanting to have good sound and it looks great.
Here's a question, a bit misplaced perhaps but, it does relate with wanting to move the soundstage up. Anyone these days running a dedicated center channel? Usually you'd have a smallish full range or mid/tweet setupjust above the rear view mirror. Just curious.

A dedicated midrange would only be useful in 5.1 surround. For a standard 2 channel audio signal, a center channel would kill stereo imaging, unless there was something insulating the driver from the passenger and the center channel was stereo instead of mono.
Moving the soundstage up generally means towards the ears of the driver from the floor of the car. Ideally, you want the mids and tweets to be positioned so that the distance is the same to your ears, and they are as close to your head as possible.
