Default A couple newb questions

I have a 06 V6 mustang with the bottom of the barrel 4 speaker (no subs in the doors) stock system. Right now I have about 500 bucks to spend, and I'll have some more in a few months (not sure how much yet). I've been reading through this forum a bit and wanted to ask a couple questions before buying. I listen to rock and heavy metal and am mostly going for SQ. Im sure whatever system I get will be loud enough for me.
What I'm looking at getting right now is:

Pioneer Premier DEH-P790BT Head Unit (I want bluetooth and this seems to be the most cost effective way to get it)
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=18379

Profile California AP600 Amp (RMS 100w x 2 @ 4Ohm)
http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/2217

CDT Audio CL-S60A 6.5" Components (110w RMS)
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=5207

Mounting Kit
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-r9RwS57...mp;i=120995807

Questions:
1. Will everything work well together?
2. Can I use the stock speaker wires? (If not, what gauge should I get?)
3. Where can I get an amp wireing kit, and which one should I get?

Thanks

What you you need bluetooth on your deck for. Here's something slightly cheaper, and minus the bluetooth, this is a far superior unit. http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=4953

Amp, your choice wasn't bad but may I suggest getting a 4 channel so then if and when (meaning I almost promise you will) you add a subwoofer, your ready to go. And it's only like $20 more. http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/2213

Components, excellent choice! Nothing compares at that price.

Mounting kit, that will work just fine.

If you have basic woodworking skills, you can buy a sheet or half of MDF at any hardware store and build your own box, and asmall subwoofer arrangementand you'll have a complete system for not much more than your original budget.
2 of these http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...roducts_id=183
Or one of these. http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=31

1. Yes, just fine
2. You can, if your doing though, might as well do it right. You dont need anything crazy 16 ga. is sufficient.
3. Theres actually a Total kit I posted in another thread, like $30 and it's more than enough for you, only thing extra you'll need is another set of RCA's if you do want to run the subwoofer(s).

HU- $300
Amp- $90
Fronts- $100
Mount kit- $15
Subwoofers- $50-$125

$550-$625 Total

Pioneer Units are nice, but eclipse is one of my prefered brands. Pioneer units just don't suit my tastes.

I would agree on getting the 4 channel, but only if you will be satisified with bass from a single 12" and 300 watts. The 2 channel and comps would be a great starting point and later on you could add another amp and a sub. That is the benefit of getting one of the 4 gauge amp kits.

That equipment will work great together.

You can buy 8 guage wiring kits for even as little as $20 at wal mart and the 4 gauge units are only like $30.

Let us know what you decide.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I will go with the 4 channel amp and the Eclipse HU.
Couple more questions:
Can I bridge the amp for more powerful speakers or subs?
Where should I mount the amp? I was thinking under the passenger seat or possibly doing a false floor type deal using the space where the spare tire is. Will heat be an issue with either of those setups? I'm assuming that the amp needs to be mounted upright.

Thanks

EDIT: More stuff that I thought of:
When I get subs, if I get 2 of them in seperate boxes, do the boxes need to be the same size/dementions?

Yes you can bridge the amp for more powerful speakers and subs.

I prefer the false floor look. Under the seat usually limits seat travel and scratches up the amp. In general you want to mount the amp face up, but some amps have the capability to mount upside down. I have one mounted upside down in my wifes car and it works great!

If you're already planning on adding subs, spend the extra $100 and get two 2 channel amps and two of these ED subs!

Two of those subs (2 ohm version) on one of those 2 channel profiles and the comps on another would be well worth the extra $100!!!

For re-assurance I concur!

Also, I am looking forward to see someone using those mega-budget eD 12" woofers. Im dying to hear what someone has to say about a driver that cheap and that, for the money, loud and good sounding! Keep us updated with any questions and concerns.

Also, what you will want to do if you are taking our considerations is...

Run the front 2 channels to your component speakers and bridge the rear two if you are running one subwoofer, or one to each if you are doing the 2 smaller ones.
