Default 0/1 Fuse Holder

It's probably the fault of the insecurities that convinced me that I needed the V8, but I decided to go with 1/0 power wire for my amp. Consequently, I have a ridiculously large fuse holder under the hood.

My question is: do I go to car audio hell if I don't mount it to something under the hood? Any suggestions where?

Some people just use self tapping screws and drilled it somewhere thats obstruction free. Some people let it dangle. I would atleast zip tie the wire or fuse to something.

I have it screwed on one car and zip tied on another. Just make sure it can't move around.

If that wire gets stretched out and shorts, you will be in a world of hurt.

Really? The website claims it has a 280 max current draw. I'm assuming that's probably while playing some ridiculous test tone.

If I do have the sub channel going into 1 Ohm but I have the other four doing four Ohms each, I'll have a total of 1000 W RMS. At 12 V, that's about 83 A and at 14.4 V it's 70 A. Is that right?

Does anybody know the spec of the alternator for a 2007 GT? Also, what exactly do "better" batteries buy you? Does it just give the alternator more time to catch up for the loud bits during the lower energy portions?

In easy terms...

How much of a charge they can hold, how fast the re-charge, how fast and reliable they can handle supplying power on demand.
