JL Amp cmon overpriced JUNK thats there new name. W7 my *** last one i saw in a DM didnt hold 2500 for more then 2 mins before boom went the VC. LOL people and there mainstream junk its almost funny.

 

Buy an eD amp. I'll most likely buy everything from them when I finish up my system (possibly not the components, but we'll see)

 

Why would you have try to run 2500 Watts in to that sub in the first place. The sub is deigned to sound good and it does that with superb quality. It is like saying I tried going 200 MPH in a stock mustang and blew th emotor. What is the purpose of that?

Either way I would not call JL stuff Junk... There are many lines out there that are but JL is not one...

If you can get the stuff at cost get the Alpine PDX amps, you will like the performance out of them and they are nice and small.

 

You would run 2500 cause its a DM the whole purpose is to produce max spl at all cost. And there still junk ive seen many DD9100 series sub there (SQ) line hold 2500+ in DM and go home still bumping. U would think for 600$ ud get something better then a W7. I havent gotten to the point where ill pay the extra 300$ just cause JL stamped its name on the cone. LOL and JL is all mainstream cmon where u at.

 

I would agree that JL amps are not that great. If you are forced to pick between pioneer and alpine to run a 2 sub system i would choose the alpine. But its all up to you both amps will not perform 2 different from each other.
