I have an alpine monoblock, so I could only use that for the subs correct? But If I were to sell it to my friend I think he would want it all so he could wire and go. and I thought again space saving if I went with a multi channel then I only have 1 amp to worry about.

Ok, so Im fine with the 1 sub, the 13Kv2 sounds good, I read more on it last night, obviously bigger than a SQ10 but should have the sound I want. I dont know that Im up for creating the box and modded setup that ttocs has. Im not against it, its just a time thing. In my old sunfire I had an 8inch Clarion that I mounted in the centre of the rear deck. Pain in the *** to get there but it looked cool. So with that said firing back is the way to go. Any good spots out there for grilles, Id go simple but if there are some cool non audiobahn ones out there I am interested in that. Also Ive discussed it in the past, but what sort of things should I becareful of if say I wanted a plexi back to the box so it can be seen into with the seats folded, and does anyone know the angle that the seats are to the trunk floor? Im sure I can measure or figure it out but if someone has it handy.

Sorry for the mounds of detail and text.

I know I posted it in another thread, but I would give that eD sub more power than the Profile you posted, or your Alpine can give it. I would go with separate 2ch and 1 ch amps for the speakers and sub.

These amps:

Profile 2 ch amp for front speakers: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=4874 $105
Profile 1ch mono amp for sub(s): http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=487$ $125

I always wanted to do the whole plexi box thing. Just kinda got over it. Now I'm more about function over flashiness. It is cool though, but plexi costs more than MDF. Just keep that in mind. I always liked the Alpine 9847 for a budget system builder. I wanted to put one of those in my GFs C280, but it would be a LOT of work. Damn fiberoptics [:@]. BTW, you can make a TINY box for that 13Kv2 and it will still sound good. Do you need the rear seats to fold? If so, just mount the amps on the back of the seats and mount the sub box off to one side. If you aren't worried about the folding seats, build a complete custom enclosure with the sub box in the middle, and then an amp rack to hold one amp on each side. You can make custom speaker grilles very easily with an MDF ring and some thin netting.

65-75 degrees sounds about right on the angle thing.

And plexi is cool to do, but if your on a budget, it's not going to be practical at all. You would need atleast 1/2" plexi, I would go with 3/4" personally, but FYI that sheet of plexi you use on the back side of your box... It's going to cost about the same as the woofer you putting in the box itself.
