Default Question about d3 installation

If i get my d3 installed by circuit city, and i want to do the bypass myself, are the wires visible under where the steering wheel is? or do i have to take the entire system out of the dash?

if i have to take the system out of the dash, how do i go about doing that? is it simple?

any help?

also will circuit city properly hook up my illumination wire and speed sensor?

tell circuit city about the illum and speed sensor wires,
and makes sure they get hooked up, hell, watch them if you have to

as for the bypass, yet again ask circuit city to do it

its more trouble to pull it out and do it since you will need to remove centercouncle and all radio trim

bypass:
1. Remove the yellow and black mute wire from back of harness
2. Place the Mute wire in the slot directly above where you removed it from. (see picture)
3. Using a wire tap (radio shack 10 for $5) connect the mute wire to the ground.
4. Using the wire tap (that is already attached to the parking break wire/green wire)
attach it to the ground wire as well coming from the parking brake

dude, THANK YOU for the info. ive been searching everywhere to find that out. but holy ****, i definitely dont want to remove the center console and radio trim. I'll definitely watch the circuit city guy and make him do the speed senor and illum wires. I'll ask him to do the bypass too, but what if he refuses? I mean technically it is illegal, and he doesnt have to do it. Should I bribe him? No seriously. I really dont want to remove all that crap just to do the bypass.

Also do you know which color wires are the speed senor and illumination wires and where they are located? I guess I should have that written down to tell the guy in case he doesnt know where they are.
