P, the amp is rated 480x1 at 4 ohm. That should be fine for the 13Kv.2...
Yeah, according to the eD guy I talked to on the site, the amp should be pushing out a sweet spot RMS for that sub.

True but in my opinion it is a little bit more then I would send to it too. So yes be careful.

If you want to send an exact amount of power to the woofer, go to eD's website look at their video tutorials and it tells you exactly how to set it to get dead nuts 400 watts sent to your woofer. Or 100 watts if you want it.

Okay. So I watched the video on the site. Basically I have to turn the gain up until I am pushing 40 volts, correct? And this is with a 50 hertz tone? I will burn a CD or put a tone mp3 on my MP3 player and play it while I adjust this I suppose. I have a multimeter so this should be a piece of cake.

Can't wait until my 13kv.2 and amp come in

They use 50 Hz because it's a nice round tone for tuning a woofer. So yes download, burn whatever you have to do to get a test tone, play it hook up your meter and dial the gain up until you get the desired number

10 watts = 1 volt
100 watts = 10 volts

So if your wanting to send it that full 480, dial it at 48 volts.

I would honestly put right at 40 volts, you will push more at times, depending on what your playing so the 40 is high enough to give you what your wanting, but not so much your going to have to worry about popping anything.

That is exactly what I was thinking. I figured putting it at 400 watts would make it pound like it was built to and at the same time keep the load on the amp low for the most part.

It should be stable at 4 ohms pushing 400 watts bridged right?

I only havecouple concerns with that amount of power.

1. Make sure the bass boost on the amp is off.

2. ED is pretty sticky about warranty work if you "abuse their equipment"

3. Make sure you set the gains correctly like mentioned above.

Keep those is mid and you'll be great!

Yep, I plan on running 40 volts (400w) under a 4 ohm load without any bass boost or anything. I am determined to hook everything up correctly as opposed to my days in high school where we hooked up speakers to the biggest amp we could find just to blow the glass out of the back [8D]

I have this multimeter:
CLICK THIS

What setting do I put it on to find out the voltage I am running to the speaker?

wtf... I cant read a single thing on that frm the picture, you want volts, whether it be thousandths or hundreds or whatever, you want volts. I would tell you but, maybe my computer blows, I can read a single thing from that picture.
