Default mach sound system question

My wife got a 2002 mustang convertible today and it has speakers in the upper corners of the dorrs that say mach on them. And the radio has been switched out to a sony xplod head deck (not sure what model). Now the issue is that there doesn't seem to be any bass no matter how high i turn it up on the head deck, and i mean absolutely NO BASS at all. Now I am very very green when it comes to fords so I don't know what exactly comes with the mach sound system. But from what I have been reading around it sounds like there are different levels of the mach system with different amps and different speaker configurations. Ifanyone needs more info about the system please let me know. I don't know a whole lot about the car yet since we just got it a few hours ago and I am at work right now.

Does anyone have a clue as to how to help me find out what sysem is in my wifes car? I have some more info, I looked through the small velcro holes in the liner behind the back seat and I can see two amps back there. I hope this info helps.

pull the deck out and hook up the remote turn on(blue and white on the deck) to the amp turn on(blue) on the hrns. they do not have the factory amps turned on....

ttocs, i tried your suggestion and that didn't help. from some things i have been reading lately, is using the METRA 70-5519 Harness the only way to get this to work correctly? if there is a way to get it to work with out that please let me know.

Thanks,
Dave
