Default Recomendations for a head unit, etc in 66 Mustang

Hi all, first post over here. I'm usually in the Classic section, but it's time for a audio upgrade in my car.
Car is 1966 Coupe.
I will install head unit in glove compartment so size is not an issue.
Here are my wants:
Remote control (or at least remote is a seperate option)
Disc player can play CDs & MP3 disc (I may add a CD changer later, maybe)
I don't have an amp so I need a few Watts of power (I may get an amp later also)
Music - Guitar rock, Van Halen, Velvet Revolver, Hendrix, Aerosmith, etc.
Budget - Under $200 (under 150 if possible)

My little10 Watt Cassette player & stock speakers isn't cutting it anymore.
Any recomendations??
I'll post another question for speakers later, but I will be using 2 in the kickpanel (maybe componets)& 2 in the back.
I guess total budget would be $500 for head unit, speakers & if possible an amp.
Can I get anything good for that limited budget??

HOW ABOUT -
I would do something like

Eclipse CD3000 or CD3100 $200
CDT KA-61 or CL-61A $100-$130
Elemental Design NINe.2 $220

But if you want rears replace the last piece with
Profile AP1000 $135

The Pioneer DEH-590 is 175 from Amazon. It doesn't look very classically styled, but it's great. I love it.

I own a 65 stang and I currently have a hodgepodge system of leftover parts put in my car. I did however moun the CD player in the glove box and have a pretty nice sounding stereo for it being left over stuff.

I would recommend....
Eclipse CD3000 $200
CDT S60A or CL61A $99
Profile CA1040 less then $100
Elemental designs 11Kv2 (Dual 2 ohm) $99
Wiring from wal mart $20
Build your own box $20

You will also need ot fab a way to mount speakers in the kicks, but it will sound great!!!

If you need links let me know...
