Viper 771XV Remote Start
Hello I have the Viper 771xv installed on my car. Its the alarm/remote start. I am doing an auto to t-5 swap and wanderd what i would need to do to unhook, or by bass the park saftey switch for this. I woldnt be to heart broken if i could just disconnect it because i never use it.
let me word this a different way.
are you wanting to disable the remote start so that it will not work anymore?Or are you wanting to disable the safety start so that it will crank while in gear? They are two different things.

id rather just disable it to be on the safe side. Or if the way it is setup now will work when i take the auto out and put the manual in along with a manual computer will work then thats fine too. And the remote doesnt have to work just so the car turns over regularly with the key.
If your t-5 swap is done correctly then the car shouldn't be able to crank without the clutch pushed in, so you shouldn't have a worry there.
But if you want to disable the remote start so you have absolutely NO way to have the car accidently remote start, then look at the wires going into the alarm brain, and there will be a black wire with a white stripe in a 5 pin wire harness, cut that wire and the remote start function is disabled but the rest of your alarm will still work just like before.
