Tweeter location?
hey guys.
I just wanted to know where you think a good place for a 1" tweeter would be in a '98 mustang coupe
I was thinking the apillar, but, I don't know how hard that would be, or how expensive the pods would be or anything like that
[for anyone that remembers, or for referances, I'm getting this: Link]

best place for a tweeter is the exact same place as the woofer. This minimizes the difference in space between your ears and the two speakers to minimize cancelation and time bla bla bla blab.....
it sounds better.
it sounds better.
should i drill a hole in my door to fit the tweeter? and i'm assuming mount it right above?
i also have cross-overs that come with it. should i mount those closer to the speakers, or further? 'cause my big problem now is where to put the cross overs so they're out of the way, but still so i don't have to hack too much up.

what size componants? I have mounted tweeters from componant system with the woofers depending on what size they are. another option is to mount the tweeter to the door panel behind the speaker grill.
It does not matter how far away the x-overs are from the speakers. The biggest problem with them is if you mount them inside the car, you will need to run a wire through to the door to account for the split signal. If you mount the x-ver in the door then you can just connect to the factory speaker wires and then split the signal to the woofer/tweeter. When puttng the x-over in the door you need to mount it securly so that it will not get damaged when the door is slammed and you need to put it away from water since the inside of your doors do see water.
