When i first got into car audio I went with Kicker until i realized they blow, they sound good for a while then you go through voice coil after voice coil. Also the L7's need way to much power for what you want, honestly you could get away with one 12JL W6V2 and a 500 or 600 watt amp, i installed one 10 in a old Monte Carlo the other day and was surprised with the sound quality in that huge trunk, i have 2 12W6V2'S and i love them never a problem. Also for your interior speakers go with some JL TR's or Pioneer Rev series they sound awesome and clear for pioneer speakers, yet infinity does make decent interior speakers just don't know to much about them. For amps I like Directed Electronics, they are enexpensive, powerful amps that will really last. Oh and if you buy any JL audio over Ebay remember that there is no warrenty then because JL only approves dealers selling through stores not the internet.

 

I have had the same pair of Kicker 12 for four years. I have also owned Kicker on and off for over fifteen years and never had one blow. Are there better ones out there? Yes of course. For the money, Kicker makes a great sub.

 

98stngfrk WHAT THE HELL are you talkin about. Kicker is one of the best car audio products you can buy. They are on the same level as jl audio, alpine and infinity, and in some cases better because of the pricing... YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE TALKIN ABOUT~!!! Kicker does not blow, AT ALL! and the L7's were named best subwoofers for like 3 years in a row so obviously kicker does not blow. So before you talk make sure ur talkin from your mouth instead of your a** alright!

Wow some of you people have serious mental handicaps, and for you info i am pretty sure i do know what i am talking about, go take a 500 what amp and put to an L7 will sound like s**t, and like i said i think kicker blows just from my experiances and some friends, but when you hit a 165.3db's at a bass of then you can come tell me i know absolutely nothin about car audio. I am sorrow you are such an insecure person that you get mad when someone says they don't like a speaker, so childish. THIS IS MY OPIONION

 

Serious mental handicaps WOW!!! your cool. Thats just ur opinion cuz ur a dumb a**, you dont know what your talkin about. if you take an L7 and a 1,000 watt amp it will beat any 2 other 12's out there. It "sorrows" me to know that your an idiot who doesnt know what their talkin about.

 

I know i am cool thanks for the compliment, really though man, i can take 1 DD 12 and make it hit harder than an L7. Honestly how many bass off's do you attend, or compete in. Memphis, DD, these are the two main company's that you will see at a bass off, i am glad you are sorry for my supposive stupidity. Look if someone wants to talk crap because someone else doesn't like a brand of speaker that they like then its pretty pethetic, so i know you will come flaming back but i am done with this stupidity. Nope I'm just saying kicker is a really good brand, alot of my friends including me have kicker systems and compared to alipne and jl audio theres no comparison. Ive been to a lot of sound offs and you just need to know how to power them right. A friend of mine has 2 12" L7's runnin off a kicker 1,250 watt amp bridged to 1 ohm, the only thing that came close to him was a guy that had a escalade and has 2 JL W7's.
