Electrical Noise?
I am getting ready to install a sub and an amp, the car is already wired with rockford 4 gauge, and I ran a wire tapped into the stereo ground back to where the amp will be grounded as a precaution, but do you guys have any other suggestions for me eliminating noise?
I have power run down the left, and all the speaker wiring is down the right, however I am using a line out converter for the sub signal. The converter has a ground wire on it as well. I will be installing a JL 10w3 sub and JLA1400 amp. Any suggestions on other precautions I should take?

you want your ground as short as it can be, not ran back to the stereo.

where are you getting the signal for the LOC? I would recommend getting it at the front but alot of people just tap it at the factory amp in the back.

if it is going under the passenger seat then I would go towards front of the car to get the signal. If you tap the signal at the back you will possibly amplify alot of noise that has been picked up along the way. This will also make it much easier if you replace the deck later, and every ford owner will replace that deck when the cd jams in it, and it always jams.....
