I was not tryin to curse you, glad to hear it turned out well. I have never seen anyone mount an amp there.

Did you run wire into the doors?

Yea. I ran all new speaker wire to each speaker. and RCA cables to the head unit. I just taped the wire to a coat hanger and fed it through the speaker well and through that little connecting hose. every wire is hidden, and if it wasn't for the amp being in plain sight, no one would be able to tell it was aftermarket equipment. I'm pretty happy with how I did for my first time. I also cut the carpeting on top of the rear speakers in those outer shells so now you can see the speakers. Plus I painted my interior black. here's some pics.

I put the amp behind my seat because 1, I don't like people sitting behind me anyway, and 2, I wanted to show off the amp. Do you think it looks good there?

equipment that gets shown off or is easily visable is normally quickly stolen from my experience in replacing stolen equipment. I have considered yanking my back seat and using it for equipment and storage since no mustang owner enjoys people in the back seat(nor do the people in the back seat) and I think I would do that before mounting it there. My only other suggestion would have been to bottom mount the new rear speakers rather then top mounting them as the factory did. That would have made them easily replacable if you should blow them. The installation looks clean and if you are happy, that is all that matters.

I hope that you are smart enough to have a good alarm and use it, and not show it off to thewrong people.

There is no degree required to be a theif, it is open enrollment.

I actually don't show off anything to just anyone and only people I know and trust get inside of my car. That's because I left my car open when I went on a training op one time, and when I got back after a week in the field my IPOD was stolen. So I make sure it's locked, armed, and in plain view everytime I leave it for an extended period of time now.
