purchased an AudioVox fm modulator from circuit city the other day and wondered if anyone can provide a walkthrough for the install. the diagram that came with the part looks straight forward but i'm guessing that the instructions that come with Trip Tunes would be more detailed for our S197's. Since the are virtually the same kind of part, i was hoping that some that has installed one of these gadgets can help me out. THANKS!

 

depends on what kind of fm mod it is. Some kinds you will need to disconnect theradio from the factory antenna, plug it into the module and then plug its antenna into the radio(and then power, switched and ground).

It is not too hard, 4 wires all in one spot.

 

yup, its the kind that goes between antenna and stereo and has a power switch so i would need to tap into a hot wire and ground wire.
