Default Alternatives to bolting down sub box?

Do any of you guys have any creative alternatives to bolting down a sub box? My box is fairly small yet pretty heavy as I have the amp mounted to it, but it slides a little bit if I take a turn too fast. Obviously not a good thing, but due to the design of the car, do you have any alternatives to bolting it down? box is carpeted as is the trunk, so I was thinking two sheets of velcro back to back to help keep it from sliding. It isnt the forward movement that bothers me, its the side to side.

velcro is not going to do much here. What is stopping you from mounting it to the floor?

Get some of that metal strapping like this http://plumbing.hardwarestore.com/52...d-hangers.aspx
get the stuff that is a little more thick though, the stuff that you will need to put some force into it to bend it by hand. Remove one of the screws from where your amplifier is mounted put one end of the strap through where your screw hole is, measure how much you need and run it to an existing hole or screw in your rear deck and trim it to size. If you can find two locations do two of them but I would think one would be sufficient to keep it from moving too much.

The Amp is mounted to the box. I really want to avoid bolting it down because I know the gas tank is very close to the bottom of the trunk on this particular vehicle and in order to bolt it I would have to drop the tank. I wouldnt think self tappers would hold very well, seeing as how little they are

Just remember that if it is not secured, your car insurance will not cover it.

And remember alot of them only cover up a grand in extras too. And they have to be mounted as P said.

Kinda rediculous, they didn't question it for a second to pay me for my deck, which you can take out in 5 seconds. But they hassled me like crazy about my subs and enclosure that you had to take all the trunk interior out and angle it just right and have 2 people lifting it and it only took about 15 minutes to get it in our out.
