Hey guys Im new to this website but i was wondering in your experence what is the best radar detector for the money? i have a 2007 Mustang w/ pony package and was just wondering what a good radar would be for it. i was currently looking at an escort ( i think that was the name lol sorry) or a cobra. any help would sure be appreciated

That would be my first pick as well.

After that I would go K40, RD850 is about as good as your going to find as far as a stick on the windshield type. Valentine Oneis nice but expensive. Escorts are ok, but I would go K40 or Valentine before Escort.

If you want your car to be a ghost look at the K40 Calibre system. Your talking $1200 if you have it installed somewhere and get it new, but if you get a NIB one off ebay and do it yourself I think you could find one for around $600.

I went with a remote radar model, but I knew I would sacrifice perfomancea little for the package. I was able to mold it into my factory clock so it looks like it belongs, and I have the radar sensor mounted in an optimum place on the front bumper. The sensor is more sensative from the front then it does from the back but it is still good enough to keep me outta trouble. It also has a handy temp gauge, just what every radar needs....

I have installed K40 and it is the shtuff andvalentine is great too(although it needs some updating on its style), but I found mine for $100 and could not resist. I think it is on page 3 of my cardomain page.
