i have 2 kicker subs and a aftermarket amp. the light comes on that is how i know it's on. but that is not my problem, my tweeters are not workin. i pulled out the deck with the rear amps so that i could put in my box. before i replaced my head unit i got signal for my amp by using a plug that went to the amp. and it worked fine. hope this helps. thanks

so if I am reading this correctly, you have the stock speakers up front, but removed the amp that powers them? I think I found your problem.....

no. they worked fine untill i messed with my gauge cluster. i only removed the 2 amps in the rear which power the speakers that are actually in the door. i'm not real worried about those i just want the speakers on top of the door (tweeters) 2 work.

the tweeters are driven by the amp/x-over that is under the radio. I really have no idea what you could have done around the gauges since I just had mine out of my 94 last week. The only thing I can think of that is audio related back there is that there is a really thick hrns behind the cluster that has every wire from door locks to speaker wires and you might have shorted it some how.

Is there something you are not telling me? Where there any problems in the install? Did you make any sparks?

no there were no problems.i unhooked my battery wen i messed wit my gauges and wen i was finished i turned on the radio and there was no sound. i thought it was my head unit so i replaced it and i still have the problem. lets just say the front amp went out could that be the problem if so how can i bypass it and go directly from my headunit 2 the speakers.

you can run your own wires.. had a similar problem but i was replacing all the speakers anyways so it was slightly more work to just run my own stuff.
