Default AVIC Z2 vs Shaker 500

I have been searching for this, and cannot find a direct answer. If you simply replace the Shaker 500 with the AVIC Z2, does the AVIC sound better than the Shaker. No amp or speaker changes at all. Thanks!

I understand it can be done. The question is, if I leave everything else the same, and replace only the head unit, does the Avic sound better than the stock Shaker did? Thanks!
