Default AVIC-D3

I have been watching the AVIC-D3 on crutchfield for a few weeks now waiting on my quartley bonus to kick in. I read all kinds of great customer service forums about them and decided I wanted to buy from them, especially with the master sheet and free install gear. So the direct deposit finally came through and the recording said it would post on Aprill 1. So this morning at 5am I got to my desk and pulled up the Crutchfield avic-d3 with bluetooth, and found out the $200 dollar rebate had expired at midnight also. A few choice words echoed down the hallway, and a new plan started playing out. All extra money goes twards bolt on performance until Uncle Bush sends me that rebarte check. Maybe the timing will be better this time. If not I will have to buy it anyway, since the six disk changer decided to retire on me. Wish me luck on the roll of the dice. And feel for me for having to listen to what ever the local radio station decides I should listen to. Will update when Mr. Bush sends me a rebate.

jvc has a great looking double din that I have been hearing good things about from the industry.

I am sure it will not be long before somebody comes on here and suggests getting it somewhere else for the same price or less, but be aware that crutchfield is one of the few online retailers that can honor the warrenty. There are alot of places that say they do but when you read the fine print that is not the case.

Are there any local places around you? The industry is down right now and if you go in there telling them what you wanted and how much you were going to pay for it they will try to come close....

That is a pretty good idea. I didn't know that industry was down. I did know that dealerships were dealing great on cars now but I guess I didn't realize it was starting to hit other things.

the car audio industry has dropped alot in the last few years. The internetand big box shops has led a race to get the equipment prices to 0 and really put a hurting on the local car audio shops. Plus factory radio are comming with more options that people like(subs, bluetooth, ect) as well as putting other important circuits in the radio to make it more difficult to replace them.
