your subs dont care as to the wattage coming to them in the ohm load they only care how much power and how clean the signal is. 500 watts is 500 watts whether its wired at 16 ohms or 1 ohm as long as the amp can produce the 500 watts at the impedance that your subs are wired to.
meaning that a 4 ohm DVC thats rated at 600 watts RMS can handle 600 watts at 2 ohms or at 8 ohms. you just need a pretty powerful amp to get 600 watts at 8 ohms.
