Default New Stang with audio issues

I just got my first mustang, a vert v6 manual 97. The car came with a massive sub in the truck, a amp, a ford tweeter system and a car full of half a$$ done speakers. I am quessing that the car audio was a work in process and was just drop and then sold. The front pass speaker cuts out every so often when I hit a big bump, the settings on the head unit are so jacked up that after taking out the sub (not my style, I like lyrics) the tweeters almost made my ears bleed. I am still fighting them to this day.

I need advice about the tweeters first off. I am going to check out my amp tomorrow and if I cant find a magic way to lower the highend on it then I am going to consider just disconnecting them. I cant turn the sound up past 25 with out whincing like a dog at the high pitch noise coming out.

The front pass speaker problem I can handle, its just a loose wire. But I am a idiot when it comes to balenceing tweeters/subs/etc. and messing with amps. I will drop a post tomorrow with a list of brand names, any help is appreciated.

If you are really wanting to quiet them down, how about just taking out or disconnecting the amp? Otherwise you could turn down the gain on the amp, change the crossover settings on it, or turn down the highs with the head unit as well.
