Hey everyone, i was wondering what everyone has done as far as their sound systems, i was considering putting in an amp to power my speakers but i know you need the rca outputs in the head unit and knowing the head unit is stock i will probably put in aftermarket one soon but i was wondering what others have done in this case.

 

I'm not sure about the stock head unit having the RCA preouts. I had it for a week or two and then put an Eclipse head unit in. My advice is get a new head unit and a nice 4 channel amp to run those 5x7's. Are you speakers stock?? I ran my amp through the stock speakers at one point and it sounded ok. THe factory stuff is trash....even the MACH 460 which I had was not impressive by any means.

 

yeah, its all stock for now, i just got the mustang this past weekend, yea im pretty sure it doesnt have the pre outs, but ya the stock speakers arent that great, so im plannin on runnin a nice amp and installin some really nice speakers also

 

Cool. I would save up for some new speakers first and a head unit first. Then get a kick *** amp....and of course some subs![8D]

 

Get a Clarion head unit. I love mine.

 

actually i always liked clarion, but never considered gettin one for some reason. Ive had alpine in the past and wasnt impressed because the buttons on the left, the one i pushed the most was like pushed back compared to the other because of continious wear. i think clarion will be my new head unit this time around.
