Engine Noise over Stock Stereo System
I have an 03 3.8L stang with the stock Mach stereo system in it. I haven't made any changes to the stereo system what-so-ever, and randomly, during a road trip, entine noise started being produced over the stereo system. The ground wires seem to be fine behind the dash. I half think it has to do with the stock subs mounted in the trunk since as I turn the stereo off there is a 3 second delay before the engine noise stops...same for turning the stereo on, no engine noise for 3 seconds...Before the engine noise problem there was always 3 second delay before the music would have base, which is why I think it's an issue with the subs. Any pointers as to what would cause this would be great! I also can't figure out where the subs are grounded...anyone know?
not really sure what you mean by the subs ground. You ground the amp for the subs but you really don't "ground" a sub, at least not on purpose....
It could be a ground problem but does it come from all the subs or just the front/rear?

oh. see, i'm an idiot. thought maybe the subs needed a ground. the sound is actually coming from all ofthe speakers...it seems louder actually in the front, but then again, when its at its worst is when i'm driving so I can't really tell as far is it coming from the rear.[/align]
