Default switching head units...

is it easy to switch these 2 out? i want the 6 cd changer instead of the one thats in there now.

I think you could go and get a double din dash from a newer model and then it would fit size-wise but you would need to do some funny wiring to get it to play.

The 6 disk changers are a great idea but ford has never been able to get the transport mechanism right so it is little more then a brick that will lock 6 of your favorite disks in. They seem to last just a little longer then the factory warranty. I think I would rather have micheal Vick walk my dog then put one of those in my dash, and I LOVE my dog man........

If you don't beleive me, just do a search in this forum for indash changer and see what you find. We don't go more then a few weeks at a time before somebody asks how to fix one.

it would be the better choice.

Be careful as a bad shop will tell you that you have to rip the entire mach system out to put a deck in. I cover it on page 2 of my cardomain page.

That car domain page is GREAT im in a "bad shop" and man i dont know what i wouldhave done with out that. Ive been giving out bad info for years... til i went to that car domain page. Thanks.
