I got 2 JL Audio 10W6's with a JL 1000.1 amp and i just got the amp tuned and WOW....they hit sooo hard but the $$$$ killed me but i think it was well worth it. I had 2 Kicker S10L7's before and they hit good. You can find those cheap on ebay for like $95 each.

Like anything else, you get what you pay for (or less). I invested in some best-bang-for-any-bucks: McIntosh AM/FM/Weatherband/CD/Cassette (yes, cassette!, which I thought was backwoods-foolish but then realized the ingenuity when considering adding XM, i-Pod, or MP3 player) head unit, 2 50W X 4-channel McIntosh amps (actually putting out 60+wpc clean) one for front and rear left and right component McIntosh mids and tweeters, the other - two channels for an extra pair of tweeters, the other two bridged for a 10" sub, again, all McIntosh). It sounds SWEET on the inside, which is where I sit. I'm not entertaining the neighborhood! Total retail value: about $4G (actual about $2100, thanks to eBay!). Cripes, maybe the wife had a point about how much money I put into this car! LOL
