Default Sub Box Encloser Plans

I'm looking for a nice set of sub-box plans that would fit the trunk of my 04 coupe. Square-ish boxes work, but preferrably I'm looking for something that will fit flush and look good. Something like this:

But as I said, as long as they fit my trunk, thats all that really matters.

sub box size is dictated by the kind of woofers that you use, music you like and how you want the box tuned. The chance that someone on here has the same preferences is pretty low, but with out the brand/make of the woofer we are of no help to you.

Word.

In all reality the woofer dictates the internal box dimensions, but you can do anything you want on the outside with a tape measure and a table saw. The best bet is to design a box suited to your woofer, then find a way to make it pretty.

I was hoping that I would get just a set of pretty generic plans, then I could modify them to my fit my specific subs. But at any rate, I have 2 12" JL w1 v2-4

Hey Weston - I don't think you are getting anymore responses because ttocs and preal answered this for you.

ttocs - build the box to the spec's of the woofer and the type of sound you are looking to get from it.

Preal - Figure out what ttocs said. Build those dimensions, then make it LOOK like you want

gec - will add build it and then make a face plate to fit the squareness of the box that will overlay in front of the box. This way you will get the desire sound plus have your wish of the flush look you are seeking

Here's an example:

You can see in this Picture I have built the box to fit my desired sound outcome, then overlayed a faceplate piece to square it out.

Here's the Face Plate by itself:

The Final Product

Hope this helps you. Kenny

Go to JLs site and see the optimum dimensions for your subs. Build that box and then make it pretty by matching it to the contours of the trunk. My plan is to buy a rear seat delete kit and make a sub box for my back seat. It will just have 1 sub and a couple mids to round out the sound cause all i hear in my car is a whole lotta bass and very little vocal.

this isn't the kind of site that will hold your hand and walk you through it step by step man and agian you are asking too broad of a question. Asking me to design a box for you with out knowing anything about you, your amp or music choice is like asking me to bring over a pizza for you. I could bring one with the little fishies, jalapanos and spinich on it and I did what you asked me to...

We have helped alot of people build the box that will work for them but you have to help us help you. This will mean you do the legwork(looking up specs for volume, displacement, ect) getting out a ruler and doing some measuring and maybe even getting your calclulator out. If you are not willing to do this then either buy a prefab box or a camaro.........
