has any one got rid of the back seat to make custom boxes for the subs to replace it? if so got any advice

you talking about making a wall or just a big box? how do you plan on firing the subs? what subs? how much power? goals?

I considered a simple box in my back seat. It would not be too hard if you know fiberglass.

i not to sure i was thinking about like making kinda a triangle from the end of where the seat sits but no sure how it would look i got 2 12's mtxs with 1000w amp and not familiar with fiberglass at all how does that work

i doubt you need to take out your seats for those mtx's unless they are 9512's they dont really need big boxes

i just wanted to delete the back seat and i tired of not having a trunk and i wanted to put them back there seen one guy do it and i loved it so i was seeing if anyone built one to show some pics

this thread might help you. idk. its what i did to "replace" my rear seat. I actually just folded it down and coverd them with carpet and then mounted the box ontop of it and bolted it down though the frame rail under the back glass. No one yet has been able to tell that the seats are still there it gets tons of attention and wasn't very expensive. it just takes time and care.

there's also a guy who fiberglassed his back seat area in a new mustang. its an orange stang and there are tons of pics of it floating around on the internet.
