Default Planning a system and need input

This summer I am looking to put a sound system in my 01 Cobra and I just had a couple questions since I am currently in the planning stage. I already have a Pioneer Premier DEH-P980BT installed as my head unit and after that I have a general idea of how I want to proceed. My first question has to do with the speakers. I was wondering if it would be possible to put 6.5” components in for both the front and back speakers. If so I have been looking at Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1s. As far as the bass goes I have heard nothing but outstanding reviews for the JL Audio W7 and am thinking about installing a 10w7. My next question comes with the amps. I don’t really know what route to take on this but I was looking at a JL Audio 500/1 to power the sub and a JL Audio HD 600/4 for the speakers. Let me know what you guys think and your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a good solid plan. Just make sure that all your rms values match up and it should be a straight forward install with only one sub and one channel for each speaker. I'm not sure the specs on the sub and amp so I cannot comment on that. Just be sure you don't go cheap on wires and you should be good. Next is to pick a box and design if you wanna build it yourself.

You can fit 6.5s front and rear if you make a baffle to mount them. If you need help with the baffles let me know and I can help you out.

Some people love infinity but others like myself think the tweeters can be a little harsh to each his own. If you have listened to them before then you will be fine, if you are just going by name then I invite you to take a listen.

JL makes solid stuff all around and you will be fine with them for your amps. They are not the most budget friendly but they will last........

I had the Kappa Perfects installed in my last vehicle and I loved them. I'm not very worried about the price of the equipment if I am buying quality and they will last a while. Like I said in my first statement I won't be building this system until the summer but I may take you up on that help building the baffles.

if you know how to use a router and jig saw it is not hard. If you don't I could probably make some and ship them for a fair price. I just did a set for my buddy.

I probably got a little more then an hour into a pair, + tools and materials would $20 be too much? I can also make a set of enclosures to go on them for extra if you wanted.

I show the baffles/enclosures I just made for my truck on its cardomain page.

That would probably work. I'll get back to you when I am closer in installing the system.
