Default Subs/Alternator question 5.0

I have an 89' 5.0. I am have a pair of Polk/Momo MM2104's ( http://www.crutchfield.com/S-qHTNFFK...04.html?tp=111 ) and i am either putting one or both of them in my 5.0 (depending on if i decide to keep my 05' or trade it for my Mom's car). Now here is my question- the alternator WORKS but when i'm stopped my dash dims and i am considering just replacing it for the purpose that i'm going to be installing one or two pretty big power drains, and i will eventually be wiring a 4 way amp to my infinity speakers. So with that being said... What amperage alternator should i be looking at? and just out of curiosity does anyone know what amperage the stock alternator is? Thanks!

89 I think was even before the 3g upgrade right? Alternators are not made to supply max current at idle so you need to understand that even with a bigger alt at idle your lights may dim. I am running a 200A on mine and have not problems with it. Bigger is better here but remember that you will need to upgrade your factory power wires to be able to carry all that current.

I have no idea haha thats why i was asking. I am in no way electrically inclined. Do you really think i will need a 200A if i am just running a single 10"?

NO

130 AMP will do JUST FINE

They run $145 -180 Ebay.

Use a amp wire kit to wire it up for good results
