Default Heads up display

Has anyone seen a HUD for a car, i was thinking one that projects onto the windsheild. Maybe speed, GPS and music capibilities, kind of like a projector onto a screen. I googled a little and found a few things but not exactly what i was thinking. I wanted to check to see if this technology is to far in the future before i continued my search for products. Thanks for any help.

gm has been doing it for years with the corvettes, caddys and upper end pontiacs for speed, temp, basic functions. No big deal.

i can get you a HUD from a C-17 for a steal of 750,000$ but you'd have to find a way to splice it lol.

A company sells universal ones, somewhere around 400$ if I remember correctly. I'm not sure if they'll work with the angle of our windshield. A friend of mine had one in his 240.. it was a pretty cool novelty, but nothing else really.

good luck finding HUD that shows music. That will be something that has to be integrated with the stereo. Outside of a factory setup I don't know what to tell you.

I like the plasma glow setup because the RPM has a graphical bar rather then just number

good luck with your search
