as he said, two different things. The ford amplifiers use a 5-6v remote turn on rather then the industry standard 12v remote turn on to turn the amps on. You can use the voltage regulator in the sticky or simply slap a 1.5k ohm resistor on the 12v output to keep the stock amps from popping.

Now the amplifiers like to have a high voltage signal input, higher then most decks put out(close to 8v). But this is the signal, or the music, not the power for the amp. This is where it is helpfull to get a line driver amplifier.

It applies because your telling the guy to use a 5V turn on and from all the brands of amps that we get in for testing, some dont turn on with 5V. Figured i would let him know what we found out from being a manufacture, but if it doesnt apply.sorry.

yeah but hes trying to turn on the stock amp which turns on with 5 volts, not an aftermarket amp
