I have the Shaker 500 system and am installing the JVC kw-av60BT (I needed a physical volume control). But I was wondering, in the back of the head unit the RCA outputs are for front and rear, but the wiring harness only has one pair of RCA plugs. Do they connect to the front output on the head unit or the rear output?

I'm not 100% sure, but i'd imagine you'd need a secondary adapter to hook up the front and rear outputs

Default 09 mustang radio unit problem

I bought a pioneer head unit and adapting wiring harness to put in 09 mustang gt (shaker 1000) I tried to read up as much as possible before doing the task, but I'm running into issues. First, the harness that connects from factory to unit is not particular to this model mustang. The red/black wire on the stock harness that gives 12v on ignition is not in line with the adapting harness. I did move the wire to the correct pin. However, I still don't have 12v on ignition. As far as I know I've checked every possible fuse that may cause an issue there. I do have 12v constant going to my yellow on the aftermarket adapting harness though. Just not on the red to red/black. Has anyone else ran into this issue? From my understanding, you can hook up everything without the diode/resistor/ voltage regular it will just pop. I had a resistor soldered in line, but removed in trying to troubleshoot. From what I've read, this issue is only for 08/09 mustang's. I just haven't found enough info to try troubleshooting further. Can anyone help?

This was very helpful, even in 2020. Now, I have to hunt down a 1 amp diode since Radio Shack is gone. Thanks!
