Default New Radio

Just ordered a Clarion CX501 from Crutchfield.

I went with this head unit for a few reasons. First, I wanted a double DIN to fit the dash the best. I also desperately wanted bluetooth with hands free calling so I can keep my cell phone where it belongs (out of my hands) And also for the MP3 and Bluetooth to my phone for Pandora streaming. Crutchfield threw in the mounting bracket and additional wiring harness I needed for free as well as free shipping.

I always try my best of shop locally where I can. The 2 local Audio places wanted over $500 for similar head units with similar feature sets. Nobody locally carried Clarion.

It already shipped and I should have it by Friday. My weekend is booked so I am hoping to put it in the weekend of March 3rd. I'll let you know how I like it. I'm not much of an electrical genius so I hope it goes smooth

Sonic Electronix had the same radio with free mounting accessories for $199.99, along with free shipping.

I hate you so much right now

While I'm here... Can someone link me an article online or just tell me where the Amps are located in my car? (Mach 460)

Lastly, is there any value to the stock head unit? Its in perfect condition.
Gracias!

I think that's the same one my dad ordered to put in his Vette. Hate to say it but I think he got it for $189 on Amazon. The internet is a fickle retailer.

Crutchfield will never be the cheapest, but the support and service is outstanding.

mach amps are under the deck as well as under the rear package tray mounted to the enclosure. Which hrns did they send you as there is a couple of ways to integrate a deck into the system.

Internet deals on audio stuff is great as long as you never have a problem with it. Don't go into your local dealer complaining of problems with stuff you bought off the net and do not want to pay to fix it, doesn't work that way.
