Cheapest decent cd player that still has the screen savers, JVC KDAR-860. nice little deck $250. Size wise unless you want to do some modification, stock size should be 5x7/6x8. Alpine and MTX are some of the better full range speakers out there, in terms of the popular market.

The pioneer is a better unit than the JVC as far as sound quality.
Keep loking around as Kenwood and Sony also have some good options for you at that price

8600 is an awesome deck, but it usually runs about $450. If you an internet type you can find it for much cheaper online somewhere, otherwise the 6700 is a great deck for the money. The 7700 is somewhat of a pain to use while your driving. with all the controls being on one ****. up, down, left, right, button, rotate left, rotate right. It's hard to use while driving.
