Default 2013 premium convertible shaker upgrade

New rig and would like to keep the stock HU, sync and prefer not put a sub in the trunk. There are a lot of posts but most don't deal with verts and would like to keep the system looking stock so it doesn't exit the car when the top is down. I'd like to keep a budget of 1k and be able to add on as desired. I was thinking of adding an amp and changing the subs in the door to higher quality. Do the door subs have their own amps and if so are they sufficient.

Of course they have their own amps. Each door sub is powered by its own 110 watt amp. You're not going to be able to do much better with any 8" you can fit in there.

Yeah I'm thinking should be fairly easy to beat a paper factory speaker but wondered if the amps should be replaced with a better cleaner unit..of course
