Im in the middle of changing the passenger fender on my friends 2004 mustang. We got the fender off (PITA by the way). But we cant get the base of the antenna off. The disconnected fender is just kind of hanging there by a wire. I can see three screws sticking out from the underside of the fender. I cant get to them from the top because its covered by a peice of oval shaped plastic. I dont want to apply too much pressure to the plastic, because i dont want to break it. How do i get this dang thing off?

 

Break it off and patch the fender. Get an antena that you can adhere to your windshield

 

I helped a friend do that once he replaced his fender because he was in a wreck, he shaved the hole and he got Sirius satellite radio, it looks alot cleaner and it wasnt that hard just a lot of prepping, we did all the prep work an he got the fender painted for like 100 bucks
