Cops in Cali
exactly haha it gets me so pissed. you can still do it but if the tint shop has the option of the "get a ticket, take it off and on for free" then jump on it cuz itll be worth. if your driving a mustang. like my mom is driving a yukon xl. Never got pulled over by any cop.
A tint shop is not going to turn away business. They will advice you of the law and continue with your request to have the windows tinted.
People that get mad at law enforcement for stuff like this irk me. You had illegal equipment on your car as described by the the laws of the state. You got caught. You got ticketed. Fix the problem and deal with it like an adult.
Also, tickets like this do not create money for the city or other municipality. After factoring the cost of the officer, the patrol vehicle, and especially if the issue goes to court, the city will lose money.
It has everything to do with enforcing the law, which is why Law Enforcement is around. Take the tint off, and move on with your day.

Tell me what the difference is in the safety of the officer who is across the state line in Nevada or something???? BBBBBBBSSSSSS I tell you!
BS, not really. When it comes to Law Enforcement, California is the top standard. There is no difference as far as the officers being more or less safe just because he's in a different state. It has every thing to do with the state of California recognizing a potential safety hazard, and passing legislation to help mitigate that hazard.
That really sucks, but I feel your pain. same thing happened to me, I had the darkest tint available (right before limo tint) all over, and within 2 weeks of having them a freakin Sergeant pulls me over! I wanna be a cop myself, and know a few, but the fact that the Sergeant wrote it meant none of them could do a thing! haha its funny but it sucked lol. so i had to spend 20 bucks to get the front ones removed.
but, thats the gamble you take with dark windows here in cali lol
