Well guys.. my Grandmother (Mom's side) just turned 101. Unfortunately she spent her birthday in the Hospital and has been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure.
She very well may make it another year or maybe just another day.
She has had a hell of a run. She and my Grandfather were married for 80 plus years until his passing 3 years ago.
Of course we, the family, are sad but she has seen a lot and has lived a very full life.
She was born in West Virginia in 1915..no running water or electricity and no cars. She's a tough woman and I have to admit I couldn't imagine the things she has seen happen in her life.
Not to sound like we already have her written off..its just that we know it isn't something you recover from..especially not at 101 years young.
Keep her in your thoughts and prayers please.

UPDATE:
My mom is recovering from surgery. Everything went well. They were able to remove everything and reattach everything so no colostomy bag will be needed. So far everything is going great.
