could some one put an air cleaner through the hood of this car?

my stock hood doesnt have enough clearance for my motor and i hate the look of after market hoods on a 67. want to see how bad it would look with the cleaner sticking out of the hood.

how big should it be ? i just did it real quick, looks like crap when i look at it now... but even if i did it right, i honetly think there's just no way it could look good on that car.

it does look strange on the car. but to me it still looks better than the cowl hoods they make for that year. the air cleaner will be 14" across. its mostly a drag car anyways so it will have to do.
