Should THUMPIN455 Photoshop bumpers on his Cougar
#21
That Cougar is bad ***. I say put a real picture of it in the signature. It doesn't matter if its not completed yet. I like seeing the under construction pictures.
The photoshop pics are cool though. If you want to use them, then use one that makes the car look complete with the bumpers.
I think the poll choices are pretty damn funny. Somehow I missed this thread when it was started.

Thumpin I like your choice in vehicles.
Love the old Firebirds/TA's, the cougars were always one of my favorites.
We had a 1968 Mercury XR7 sitting outside at my stepfather's house that I wanted years ago. Was one of his daughters old cars. They restored it for their son who proceeded to wrap it around a telephone pole about 2 months after it had been completed. No problem there, he was their "golden child". Made me sick just thinking about it.

Thanks guys, I could p-shop it to look however I wanted, but really I should put the damn thing back together. Its been 27 years I have owned it, and 21 since I last drove it. I think I am subconsciously afraid of getting it running.
When I got into the GTOs and 2nd gen birds they were cheap. $150-$500 could buy them easily and the birds were usually really cheap. Thats how I ended up with nine 2nd gens, cheap transportation that happened to haul some tail. I like things a bit different, not something you will see all the time. The Cougar fits that so does the 71 Mustang, even more now that they are old and most have been crushed or parted out after rusting in half.
I have known quite a few cool cars to end up destroyed because of some idiot who never earned it beating them into the ground or smashing them into something. My older brother is one of those types, and he almost did it to my Cougar. He bashed the front end and had the nerve to try to take it again without asking. He had wrecked his 70 Charger and figured mine was free for the taking, he had no respect for anything or anyone. Still doesnt. He doesnt get to drive anything of mine, because he wrecks everything he drives. I have yet to wreck anything.
