My guess is that is a 351, it has less room around it than my 302 had in my 67.

Okay, thanks a lot!!

Do all come with hood scoops? Cause the one I'm looking at does not and I want to know if they replaced the hood or something.

Do you know of any sites where I can find like the model types and what each model has for each year?

thanks

Put the VIN in this decoder and it will tell you what the car had originally.
http://www.cougarclub.org/vindecoder/

If it has a scoop it is either added on or its an Eliminator. The VIN will tell you if its an E cat. There are a few Cougar forums around, but dont google it with safe search off.. Well not at work or with the kids standing beside you.

Okay, I'll get the VIN, and tell you how it goes :P

Do you know of any where that I can buy the side stripe without the whole eliminator kit? I don't want to make an eliminator clone i just like the stripe :P

Like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-...Q5fAccessories

but just the side. I'm not paying 140 bucks for 2 little stripes lol

Lay them out and paint it. Stripes are easy to shoot.

If you lay two strips of masking tape down an inch apart the length of the car, then mask off everything else and paint the exposed part, you get a stripe. I did that with the yellow TA. Stripes are easy provided you lay them out right.
