Default Best replacement headers for a 69 Coupe with a 302 and stock auto transmission?

Hey guys,
Just curious on your guys' takes on the topic. Looking into buying some but we're on a tight budget and would like to get buy with spending as little on this part of the restoration as possible. Ordered a few parts from CJ pony parts and now we need to replace the headers while we are doing the motor swap (replacing the stock 302 with a 302 that my uncle had built in a bronco he had).
I believe the automatic transmission is stock. My uncle is on the fence with swapping it for an AOD? We'll see. But for now we are on waiting on headers.
Thanks in advance

I going to follow this because I have the AOD on the back of my 302.

anyone have any advice? I am looking at CJ pony parts website and there are a few sets by flowtech, hooker, pertronix, and hedman for under and around $200.
I heard flowtech is junk, true?
anyone have any preferences in general or specifically for classic stangs?
Would appreciate any advice!

If you get long tube headers with s aod you will have to bend the collectors away from the trans. If you do shorties or mids it would clear the trans fine.I would go hooker or hedman Or talk to http://www.fordpowertrain.com/FPAindex/Mustang1.htm

Thank You,
I called FPA and talked to them about headers. They make all of them custom and their base price would be $495 bare and another $200 to be ceramic coated for a Tri-Y header system. That is quite far out of my price range.

I have the 302, C4 tranny, and power steering. Can anyone help point out an exact set for under $300 to me? Im getting kind of lost in all this and just need to order something soon. Thanks.
