You will also need the correctly balanced flex plate, a block plate from the 5.0 and the torque converter. Then get or modify a shifter linkage, make sure the shift arm on the trans is pointing down.. easy fix.. then a throttle valve cable adapter and adapter for your carb. You may need to shorten your driveshaft too.

RF_E3SP-7006 on the driver side of the case and RF-EOAP - 7A040-BD on the rear of the trans.

As best I can tell this is a 1983 automatic overdrive trans for a Thunderbird.
It looks brand new but my guess is it is a rebuild. Does anyone know if this trans can be used in my 1964 1/2 Mustang?

I just happened to have an un-restored 289 removed from my 64 1/2 convertible. I put back a 260 V8. My old 289 was running but rod seals leaking. This is probably a pretty good rebuild candidate. With flywheel, clutch, bell. Engine tag
