How did you attack the 3 phase problem? Most residential neighborhoods are not wired for 3 phase at all.

Yep, I bought a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) that works with individual motors. Takes single phase 220v in and makes it 3-phase 220v out. It was about $200 and works perfectly. You can set the speed, ramp up and ramp down as well as a bunch of other things not needed. I am very happy.

Yes, you cannot take for granted that the pads are in the same spot. They tend to shift sometimes.

A lift was the best tool I ever added to my shop. I got it used, but even buying a new one will pay for itself quickly in the time saved and jobs you're able to do vs. paying a mechanic.

Jack stands are a distant memory now.

When I build my second garage I'm going to make sure it has high enough ceilings so I can add one of these. Looks great and I agree I am jealous.

It has definitely made projects easier. I swapped out mufflers on the 66 and it took so much less time getting the old mufflers off and the new ones went on in 10 minutes. Painted the wheel wells on the 67 and that was so much easier. I would have to say, like the others who commented, that it's a great investment.
