Well, here she is out on the street running. Quick lowdown an 87' F150 302 with a 351 cam, hedmann headers with summitracin.com H pipe following two 40 series flowmasters. let me know what you guys think.

Looks nice and sounds like its running good. I'd ditch that air cleaner though in favor of a more conventional one.

Thanks I will run her more this weekend after I install the electric fan on. I would like to put an oval air cleaner , but I don't think the big headed HEI distributor would allow me. Is this a bad choice of air cleaner? Your guys' input is always appreciated.

I run the same air cleaner, the factory ford ones with a single inlet can cut down on air intake quite a bit. Personally i think its a good choice to use what you have right now

I'd use an open element round or oval style. I like most Edelbrock parts, but those air cleaners are a bit restrictive and a fire hazard. I'd run something else for safety. An air cleaner like this would be better.

I'd be willing to bet the motor is an HO which does have the firing order of the 351

I had no idea they were a fire hazard, but it does make a lot of sense. Looks like I'll be changing my air cleaner this weekend
