When I pulled the motor out of my car I took pictures of everything so I would be able to put the wires and such back in there correct places. I'm having trouble finding where on wire goes. I will try to describe it the best I can, like I said I have pictures but I don't know how to post them on here. On the back of the alternator there are 4 wires, 3 have a rubber cap, one doesn't. I know where the exposed wire goes but the other end of the wire has a ring terminal on it and anouther wire coming out of the ring terminal that goes into the wiring harness. I also took pictures of the relay that mounts on the passenger side of the engine bay close to the battery and in that picture you can see the ring terminal that is in question but it is not hooked to anything so I don't think it goes to the relay. Sorry for the long description but it's the best way I know of to describe it.

Ok, Without seeing the wire, I'll take a long shot here! I might be the wire that goes to the engine block, Theres a bolt right behind the alternator on the left front coner of the engine block! Hard to tell without seeing the wiring!

Sounds like it goes to ground. Is the terminal big enough to put a bolt through. If so I'm sure it goes to ground.

 

It makes sense now, I think I remember taking it off. The whole in the ring terminal is pretty big. I really appreciate the diagram, It helped alot
