about where should the oil temp. gauge run during idle.
half way, three quarters to hott or what?

haha, my fault, i mean oil pressure gauge. i installed a new oil pressure sending unit and jus wanna make sure its working properly.

Half way is good. I've seen them run as low as 1/4 gauge at idle though.

ok, then what does it mean if it runs over half way. not alot but just by a little bit, im just trying to be really cautious here, better safe than sorry.

The higher the better on oil pressure. If it is over half way at idle you are doing really good.

When the pressure drops that means less oil in the block. well kinda.
