Default My 65 mustang

Ok i have a 1965 mustang and i plan to make it my daily driver, it formally had an I6, and now has a 351w. I bought it from the guy that put the 351 in it about 2 years ago. And it has alot of parts from when it was a I6. My question is that do i need to change the driveshaft or anything else because its now has a V8?

Can you drive it as it is? If so, how does the front end feel? Tight, or loose? The guy who put the W in it may or may not have done it right. Does it have 4 or 5 lugs on the wheels? Look at the differential. Is it a 7.5, an 8" or a 9"? Check the FAQ section above so you are able to identify your differential before you answer. Pictures would be nice...

we bought a super suspension kit from www.laurelmountainmustang.com and we ordered it for a v8, all the suspension fit good. but when we got to the tierods thats when we notice that it wasnt going to work because we ordered them for a v8 mustang. i had to buy another set of tierods to fit because the car used to be a I6. So the tie rods are for a I6, I swaped the rearend with a 68 mustang, 9 in differential.

That's not too bad. At least the dash pad is in good shape. With some new seat covers, that car will look like a great daily driver. I see you have the brake/ clutch pedal pad missing. That is very common. When you order a new pad, also get the chrome retainer. That fixed mine from constantly coming off.

Oh, well if it looks good then OK. If it were mine, I would replaced the dash pad while covering the seats.
