Default Seatbelt ?

When sitting in the drivers seat. Which side does the buckle go on? Mine is on the left but it just doesn't feel right. I have my seats out right now putting the carpet in so it will be easy to fix if need be.

Also, are there any other cars out there that I can get close to the original belts? I'm planning on a trip to the junkyard soon.

Thanks

Well, as far as the side of the belt, the rectratable side is next to the door, and the buckle part is in the center of the car. I'm not sure what model you car is, but the belts out of my 1970 F100 are the same as the belts in my 68 mustang.

Sorry, It's a 67 coupe. The way it was when I bought it the adjustable side was on the right. But the left side was so long that you couldn't get it any where close to being safe.

In my '69, the buckle was on the right.
